Preserving Offshore Heritage Through Imagery

THIS IS A NON-COMMERCIAL ARCHIVE.  Think of it as an art gallery. You are quite free to look at the images and enjoy them. Tell your friends and colleagues .

BUT

You can’t take the pictures home. It is NOT a commercial image bank. I do not hold the copyright for the photos themselves.  The reason I can use the images  because  over the last 40 years, most these pictures  have been specifically sent to  me or my close colleagues.  The images were sent with the intention of being displayed in the media I was working for at the time, and this is what I am still doing.

Did you know that there are companies out there that use AI bots to scan online images and these match images to which they hold the copyright, they take you to court? This has happened to people that I know. So don’t copy and download them.

I think that these images will eventually be password-protected  to protect us from AI scraping but they will always be available for free to noncommercial viewers.
